Meet the instructor

Ericka Corchado

Ericka is a Community Engagement Coordinator who works with the Unidos Por Salud project and serves Merced and Mariposa County. She earned a dual bachelors degree in both Chicano Studies and Public Health - Community Health option at Fresno State University. She also plans to pursue an MPH degree in the future.

What's going to be covered?

In this module, we will focus on the strides California Tobacco Control Efforts have made and the importance its role of serving priority populations and reducing health disparities has played.

Meet the instructor

Freddy De La Paz, MA

Freddy is a Community Engagement Coordinator who works with the Unidos Por Salud project, and currently serves Fresno, Kings, and Madera Counties. He earned his masters degree from Claremont Graduate University in Cultural Studies, and his bachelors degree from Cal State Northridge in Religious Studies. What's going to be covered?

In this module, we will explain how Unidos Por Salud approaches 'professionalism' and what we expect from our interns through the Central Valley Tobacco Control Policy (CVTCP) Program

There will be some important items covered  including procedures, best practices, and expectations. We recommend taking notes to help guide you throughout your internship.

Meet the Program Manager

Jenn Acidera, MPH

Jenn is a Project Director who oversees the Unidos Por Salud project. She is a Fresno State alumni and earned her bachelors and masters degrees in Public Health. She has over seven years of experience in tobacco control and policy, systems and environmental change. Her goal is to continue serving underserved communities where she was born and raised and eventually obtain a PhD or DrPH.
